Back to London!

I just thought London was so great I decided to go back! It was a quick trip but filled with a lot of fun activities!

Saturday morning, my friends and I had reservations at Fortnum & Mason for high tea. Now, I don’t really like tea so I was just there for the scones and desserts. We were brought a three tier tray of scones, sandwiches, and desserts. I tried some tea that was a vanilla dessert tea. I didn’t like it, so I ordered another lemon tea. Also not good. That was the end of my tea tasting, but the desserts were amazing. They gave us some jams and lemon curd to go with the scones. It was my first time trying lemon curd and man is that stuff great! I bought a jar of the lemon curd to bring back to France, only to have the lady at the airport security tell me I can’t bring it on the plane. I ended up paying two times the price of the lemon curd to have it shipped to me in France. UGH.

After tea, I went to see Les Miserables. It. Was. AMAZING. I have been to my fair share of musicals, operas, concerts, and ballets but this topped them all. The cast was so good and the set was the coolest set I have ever seen. I would highly recommend going to see Les Mis if you’re ever in London.

I left Les Mis feeling happy and hungry. My friends are big foodies so we went to one of the most famous Indian restaurants in London, Dishoom. I had never really had Indian food before so this was an experience for me. I don’t even remember what I ordered but it was good!

That night, we went on a club crawl that ended up being just okay. We met some other Americans who wanted to go to this club called Ministry of Sound which was literally across London from where we were and they wanted to WALK. It took years to get there but it ended up being worth it. We walked in with no idea of who was the DJ that night, only to discover it was Robin Schultz! He was such a good DJ, so it made up for the exodus it took to get there.

The next morning, it was time to go back to France. Overall a quick trip, but still a fun one. I love London and have a feeling I will be back very soon!
